Labour Candidates In Borrowash East - You Have 4 votes

KEVIN BATES

A retired works convenor for the Transport and General Workers Union at Acordis and is married with grown up children. Kevin is a Parish Councillor and former Chair of Environment of the Parish. He works with the local Ockash Trust and enjoys walking.

DAVID HARRISON

He has worked at Rolls Royce for 43 years and is a technician. Dave is married with three grown up children and has lived in Borrowash over 36 years. In his spare time he enjoys football, badminton, and DIY.

JEFF MARTIN

Jeff is 49 and a former Vice Chair of the Parish Council and a Parish Councillor for eight years. He is married to Margaret and has a son, Daniel. He was born in Borrowash and is the chairman of the local Ockash Trust.  Jeff was also the Chairman of the committee that staged the Millennium Festival in June 2000.

BARRY  WARWICK

Barry moved to Borrowash in 1990 and has recently retired from employment with Nottingham City council as a Quantity Surveyor. He is a member of Derwent Runners and ran the London Marathon in 2002 and 2003, raising money for cancer research.

An international energy expert, Peter has been active in the local community for 34 years. Peter was a councillor on Erewash Borough Council for 11 years. He enjoys walking and gardening, working an allotment in the village and is keen to protect the local environment.

SANDRA HARRISON

Sandra has lived in Borrowash for 37 years and works for Acordis in Spondon. She is married with three grown up children. Sandra enjoys her work with the local Ockash Trust and is a Governor at Ashbrook School loves going to the Theatre.

ERIC HIGHTON

Born in Borrowash, Eric has spent his life working for the community. He has been a serving Parish Councillor for 12 years. Eric chairs the local Historical Society and Borrowash Action Group. He is also a governor on Ashbrook Junior School

PHILIP  WHITT

Philip is married to Mary and they have two children and four grandchildren. As Campaign Organiser and founder member of BAG (Borrowash Against Gravel), his tireless efforts and dedication played a major part in protecting our environment and reducing future gravel extraction. Philip is an Ockbrook and Borrowash Parish Councillor, serving on the council for 8 years.

DENISE BALL

Denise has been a resident of the Parish for around 40 years and has always taken an active roll in the community. She is a Governor of a local School. Denise is a Parish Council and former Chair of Finance from 1996 to 1999 and enjoys music and walking.

MICK BRIGGS  

Mick was born in the village of Ockbrook and has lived in the Parish all his life. A former Parish and Erewash Borough Councillor Mick has worked hard to protect the interest of the Parish and the environment. His pastimes are tall-ship sailing and flying.

ANN-MARIE CASELEY

Ann-Marie is the Equalities Co-ordinator for Derby Adult Learning Service. She moved to the parish in 1989 and is a keen supporter of village life. Ann-Marie also works for Makaton, a national charity which provides a service for people with learning difficulties. She enjoys running and long distant walking.
